Finn of Tomland Slow bubbly Dub without any beats works like a charm for me as a slow experimental DJ, so this release was a must have! Favorite track: Akasha §1.6.

Andrzej Uzar This album is an absolute masterpiece and really hard to compare with anything else. From some perspective it's like one have taken Steve Roach's minds along with Fluxion's vibrant forms visiona and mix it up altogether in dark cave located somewhere in the desert . But this only the beginning... For my it's definitely ROHS! highlight and one of the best album in 2017 (if not the best).

Tom Rimshot Alien chords wash in and out in uncertain shapes, nothing ever repeats. Isolationism transmuted via radio waves from another dimension. On a skeletal level, this is still dub, but where Xoki has taken it is entirely new, and brings to mind less of the reggae assoc. and more things like Autechre's Oversteps. Sounds like FM synths meet analog process. Magnificent.

about

Cat.#: ROHS!026CD
Release date: 16/10/2017
Country: Berlin (Germany)
Format: CD, Digital

Akasha is the new free-form concept album by the Danish Copenhagen based-artist Zoran Todorovic (Xoki).
Free-form as in not being build by a tight scheduled series of preplanned events.
Free-form as in avoiding sharply defined and anticipated timbral elements.
"The goal was to work with free flowing energy using various methods and space, to make room for the existence of extended tonal structeres".
Akasha is a collection of deep, liquid pieces created in realtime by interaction with custom made tone generators and modulators.
