I'm sitting on my deck at 5:06 am; it's 52°F/11°C, humid but calm, and the stars and planets seem brighter than usual (Jupiter in particular, just risen over the trees, could almost cast shadows all on its own). I'm fortified against the cool weather with a hoodie, a snifter of vanilla cognac, and this, Helge's lovely final album... and I am at peace. I feel genuinely soothed in a way I haven't felt in such a long time. Sincere thanks to all who helped see this album through to its release.

This really is very special indeed - gorgeously layered drone work, with some delicate melodic structures, all interspersed with individual sensitivity and tenderness. A gem of a release. 'Last Sunday' is the sound of memories that just won't decay but glisten ever on and on. Divine.
